  Curio Court - The People mainly murder

'New round 'ere, are you boy? You'll be wantin' a drink t' wash the dust from yer mouth then? Take a seat m'lad, in the shade there by the vine an I'll get the girl t' bring you a mug. And p'raps a bite too?'

He just nodded at the man behind the bar, yes a mug of ale and a plate of bread and cheese, that would be good. Boom Pearlman, for that was he, dropped down into the empty seat under the sprawling vine that dappled the afternoon sun that bathed the rest of the court in a fiery glare. He lent back, closed his tired eyes and took a long, deep breath. It was good to be back on dry land, though whether this dry land was safer than a stormy sea, he wasn't quite sure. No sir, Solis had a reputation, mean and dirty. But deep within its twisted heart there lay this place, Curio Court. Unlike the rest of this rat infested city, Curio Court was a haven of peace and tranquility and he could breath easy again.

Abdoul Ibn Abban licked his fat sticky lips and rubbed a dribble of sweat from his hooked nose with pudgy, grime ingrained fingers. He eyed the new arrival, sat in the shade of the Grey Lady, and muttered incomrehesibly to himself. The coal pot was a pig in the summer heat, made him sweat under that mad hat and heavy robes and he was uncomfortable as usual. He was nearly done in the Court, most of his sweetmeats and tidbits gone by now to hungry traders, only the overcooked bits left. He eyed the stranger again.

'Hey, fisherman! Yes, you there, fisherman in the shady seat! What! you can't smell the delights of Abdoul Ibn Abbans cooking pot? Your nose not working? Eh?'

Abdoul wheeled his garishly coloured stall over to the Grey Lady.....
